      Friday, December 17, 1875

      - Another veteran of the war of 1812-14 has passed away, Ezekiel DOUGLASS of Altona. He died Wednesday, Dec. 8th, aged 81. His funeral was attended by a large concourse of people on Friday, at the W.M. Church; the services were conducted by the Rev. L. Prindle, who preached an able sermon from Amos, iv:12. "Prepare to meet thy God." Corporal DOUGLASS was one of five who did not desert on August 28, 1814. A more perfect description on which may be found in No. 9 of the "Chazy Historical Papers."
