Thanks for putting me in your blogroll. I added your blog to my sidebar under the heading "Books and Literature". If you'd rather be under the "Blogroll", let me know. I tried to register with your blog but I get an advertisement with no further way to go. Best wishes,

I believe this is it but I was quite surprised that there wasn't more identification of the author and documentation at that site. It appears to be the same one I used, however. You can check out more information at Tim Berger's site at http://undeuxoutrois.de/custom_field_list_widget.shtml. It is the same version number and seems to be the same files, etc.

Hi Abi,

I am using the custom field list plugin with posts. I am not sure whether it works with comments or pages but I don't think so.

Prior to finding the plugin I knew that WordPress had the capability of using custom fields, but there didn't seem to be a way to use the information easily without a lot of programming. This plugin gave me a very easy way to get at the information I enter in those fields.

By the way, I worked with Tim Berger, the young man who programmed the plugin, to do some testing of some of his updates. He is an extremly nice individual and it was a very good experience.

Good luck with it and let me know if you would like any help in implementation.

Hey Larry,

Just a quick comment and question. Great site by the way (I love reading). The plug-in that is in your sidebar (Books by Title/Author) I would like to use for a project my son is doing for school (ISU). I am pretty good with Wordpress but am having problems with the info on the plug-in site.

Can you tell me 1) Are the drop downs posts, categories or pages? I would like to have one for the different colleges in the United States.

Hope it made sense to you.

Thank you,
Abi Carmen

Thanks for your comment, Ron. I will try to provide you with some thoughts that you can use for your reading.

You are now registered for my blog. If you would like to receive updates in a somewhat automated fashion, please click on on of the RSS links at the bottom of the page. Depending on the browser you are using, you can get automated feeds from my blog to your browser. In Internet Explorer, for example, these feeds are found by clicking on the favorites button. When the favorites come up, you will see a Feed tab between favorites and history. This is where you can see content automatically downloaded to your browser.

I know Firefox has an RSS feed capability but I haven't used it. Google Chrome does not have it, but in it's latest version there is an RSS plugin that you can add. You probably already know all of this, but I thought I would provide it anyway.

Your web site is very interesting. I added your link it to my blogroll so that, hopefully, others who visit my site will find yours (although not many folks have actually ever visited my site).

I look forword to more dialogue in the future.

Hello Larry,

This is primarily to make contact, inasmuch as our interests and life stages seem to overlap considerably.

I appreciate this review of Kingsolver's book. I have read a few of her previous works and enjoyed them greatly, but that's almost all I can remember. Perhaps I'll pass on this one.

My reading preferences have gravitated toward non-fiction, more and more. What keeps me rooted in fiction is my membership in a monthly book discussion circle, and a fiction writers group.

In order to have another stimulus for fiction I'll subscribe to your blog when I can figure out how to do it.

Best wishes,

Ron Pavellas

I think you are exactly on point. We do need to build on what we have and do what we can to encourage the great businesses that are here to do more. These companies are at the core of what the EDC embodies and while we help our existing base grow, it will get the attention of others that can be here, as well. Medical, research and development, etc. would be a great fit for the area...please attend Thursday's program and engage in the discussion.

I went to this movie quite prejudiced against it! Keira Knightley is NOT my idea of Elizabeth. But I was pleasantly surprised by how she captured the character. I also loved Judi Dench as Lady Catherine, tom Hollander as Mr. Collins, and especially Donald Sutherland as Mr. Bennet.

The living conditions of country gentlefolk are demonstrated in a way I've never seen before -- the animals upon which they depend are part of their lives and appear in nearly every outdoor scene.

All this being said: there is only one definitive and faithful adaptation of P&P, and that is the 1995 BBC production, shown here on A&E. I urge anyone who enjoyed this movie to watch this miniseries!
